In accordance with standard law, persons under the age of 18 are not able to participate in a legal binding contract. Therefore, cannot participate in auctions.

After you register you must confirm your email address before you can login. You will receive an email containg your login information and a confirmation link. Click the confirmation link to confirm your account.

I didn't receive my email confirmation, what should I do?
Make sure you check your JUNK and SPAM folders. If the email is not there, contact us for further instructions.
Selling

How can I list an item for FREE?
Once you have registered simply login to your account and click on the "Sell" link located in the top menu. The first thing to do is select a general category for your item. You can then enter in your item description and chosen settings.

It is free to list your item if you do not use any special services such as uploading additional images (you may upload one image for free). To list your item for free, do not use the additional services offered. Click here for a list of site fees.

You can keep track of everything you are selling by visiting your Members Area and selecting the "Selling" page.

Can I use HTML when listing an item?
Yes you can, however we recomend you use basic tags, as complex HTML descriptions may not display correctly.

How do I add an image to my auction?
When listing an item, you will have the opportunity to upload an image. Your image must be in JPEG or GIF format, and 150kb or less in size. If an eror occurs or your image does not upload, make sure the size and format are correct.

You may upload up to 5 images for your auction. If you receive an error during this process, please make sure the file size of the image is 150kb or less. You can upload your image during the process in which you list an item for sale.
Bidding/Buying

How do I place a bid?
To place a bid on an item you must first login to your account. Once logged in, a bidding box will be displayed at bottom of all auction pages. You can use this box to place you chosen bid. Remember, your bid is a legal contract with the seller.

You can keep track of everything you are bidding on by visiting your members area and selecting the "bidding" page.

Our auction system will automatically notify you via email if you are outbid.

If you win an auction you will receive an email with the seller's information including email address and physical address. Use this information to contact the seller and arrange payment.

Before you bid on an item, check the item description and payment details to see what type of payment the seller will accept. What is "Buy Out?"
If an item has a Buy Out option, the item can be purchased instantly rather than accepting a bid and waiting for the auction to close.

What is an Auction Store?

How do I setup my Store?
You must be a registered member in order to setup a Store. Login to your Member Area and click the Store icon in the top menu. Click "Enable Store" then select your preferred subscription. To create your unique URL, select "Create URL." Then fill in your Store name and description, upload your logo, and choose a magic theme.

What is a unique URL?
Store owners receive a unique URL so they may advertise just as if they owned their own website. The unique URL will take users directly to your store. An example of a store URL is : http://www.bid-on-magic.com/shops/YOURUSERNAME.

My Store subscription ended, and now my listings have disappeared?
When listing an item, if you selected "List in Store Only" your items will not appear if your store subscription ends. We recommend listing items in "Your Store and Auction Listings."
Verified Members

What is a Verified User?
A Verified User is one that has verified their account with Bid-On-Magic via Pay Pal. The verification process verifies that a user has a Pay Pal account. For a complete list of benefits exclusive to Verified Users only, click here.

How do I become a Verified Member?
You may become a verified user by clicking the Pay Pal account in your Member Area. Here is how it works:
1. Login to your Member Area and click the PayPal link to send a $3.00 verification fee to us from your Pay Pal account. This verifies that you have an account with Pay Pal.
2. Once we receive the funds your status will instantly change to a Verified Member and you will receive all of the benefits listed above.
